After nearly ten years in trail running, including several years competing at the highest level, I am entering a new phase, a phase of amplification. In 2026, I join KIPRUN with the ambition to broaden my vision and fully express what defines me: the athlete, the adventurer, and the engineer.
Rooted in performance, my approach is expanding into a dynamic where innovation becomes central. I no longer want to simply use equipment, but to engage in a co-development process with the teams, transforming field experience into concrete solutions.
I am looking for an environment capable of supporting this trajectory, bringing together high standards, innovation, and accessibility, while giving a strong place to my off-the-beaten-path adventures, and to the way I tell my journey through content and creative formats.
The objective is clear: to help make high performance accessible by developing products that are high-performing, reliable, and open to as many people as possible. Through this vision, I see myself as a pioneer, with the ambition to leave a lasting mark on performance, on products, on adventure, and on the way trail running evolves.
With KIPRUN, I want to open the way, beyond performance.

Vivre d’aventures
In this book, I tell how I allowed myself to believe in my dreams. To change my life by transitioning from being an engineer to becoming a high-level athlete and adventurer.
Vivre d’aventures, (Flammarion, 2023).
In my opinion, everyone, in their own way, should allow themselves to have adventures. They help break the habits we lock ourselves into. To put things in perspective. To return to a certain form of essentiality. Sleep. Eat. Run. Move forward. Feel.
[…] Adventure removes the masks we wear every day, at work, with friends, even with family. It reveals. It leaves us vulnerable, without our armor. It makes us live intensely.
ATHLETE
In 2022, at the age of 34, I became a professional athlete, specializing in ultra-trail, very long-distance races that take place in nature, on various types of terrain, from mountains to deserts to jungles.
A discipline as rich as it is complex, both physically and intellectually. To perform in ultra-trail, you must learn to know yourself perfectly, discover your limits, and try to push them. For me, it’s a permanent exploration of human potential.

ADVENTURER
Beyond the competitions I participate in, I love going on adventures. Identifying and taking on challenges that push me out of my comfort zone, to lose some of the control that governs our everyday lives where, sometimes, everything seems predetermined. These experiences of all kinds help me feel alive.
In my opinion, “adventurer” is not synonymous with “superhero.” Adventure is a mindset, accessible and beneficial to each of us.
SPEAKER
On social media, as well as through my book or documentaries, I enjoy sharing my stories and experiences. I am convinced that my daily life as a high-level athlete and adventurer, as well as my past as an engineer, can positively impact those around me. This activity gives even more meaning to all my practices.
Mathieu conveyed all his passion and energy during his presentation with great mastery. Beyond self-transcendence, it was a real discovery of the collective strength drawn from a discipline usually perceived as individual. Thank you, Mathieu.
We invited Mathieu to a year-end seminar that brought together more than 150 managers. Through his story and athletic journey, Mathieu conveyed a lot of energy and managed to touch the audience. Thanks to his speech and the way he talked about his journey, we found many similarities between our professional field (Retail) and the various stages of a high-level athlete’s life. A big thank you, Mathieu, for your presence, your time, and the quality of your performance. Several months later, our managers are still talking about you.
We were delighted with his presentation; he was very clear, well-prepared, and had a good oral posture! It’s an exercise in which he is comfortable and even enjoys while remaining very humble! I highly recommend him.
As part of the training for our sales teams, we chose Mathieu’s presentation. Our team greatly appreciated his speech, his sincerity, and his story resonated with them. We all left with valuable lessons on the right attitude to adopt.
Coach
When I discovered running, then trail running, I initially trained alone, relying on scientific literature. Then came the time for practice and errors, for experimentation, which is unique to each person and sometimes contradicts what is written in books.
For me, the philosophy of training is about finding a balance between science and experience. I enjoy helping other athletes identify this balance, whether they are beginners or experienced, by offering support to achieve their various goals.
